Our blackhead facial is a deep cleansing treatment designed to gently remove blackheads and other impurities from the skin. Using an innovative combination of deep cleansing, exfoliation and extraction techniques, this facial leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed.
The treatment uses both pHformula resurfacing products and the ultrasonic power of Biotheraputic's Micro Fusion Pro. pHforumula products are cosma-pharmaceutical and are scientifically proven to provide a targeted and controlled delivery of active ingredients into the skin. The products used are non-comedogenic and paraben free, perfect for oily and acne prone skin types.
The specific products used in this treatment are the SP Complex, I.N.S.T.A.N.T. mask, V.I.T.A. C and the S.O.S. or A.D.V.A.N.C.E.D. peel off masks. This is combined with the BT Micro Fusion Pro to effectively remove dulling dead skin debris, excess oils and impurities for exceptionally clean skin.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our experienced skin specialist will carry out a detailed analysis of your skin during your consultation and make recommendations for treatment. They will also discuss the expected results with you and any homecare recommendations to enhance your results.
Step 1: Cleanse
This treatment starts with a skin cleanse using pHformula E.X.F.O cleanser and our ultrasonic silicone cleansing brush, which improves cleansing by up to 600%. This is followed by S.K.I.N primer to degrease the skin and allow for better product absorption.
Step 2: S.P. Complex
A combination of Lactobionic Acid, Mandelic Acid, Hydroxypropionic Acid and Glycolic Acid is then applied and left on the skin for up to 5 minutes. This step helps to soften the outermost layer of skin (the stratum corneum) and reduce bacteria and inflammation, ensuring that the blackhead extraction does not damage the skin barrier.
Step 3: I.N.S.T.A.N.T. Mask
The I.N.S.T.A.N.T. resurfacing mask aids the skin’s ability to heal, repair, and protect itself from free radical assault. A gentle skin resurfacing treatment that leaves the skin smoother, brighter, and softer, it is an anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory treatment aimed at decongesting the skin and regulating oil production while still providing hydration.
Step 3: Deep Exfoliation and Blackhead Extractions
We use the BT-Micro Fusion Pro, a professional ultrasonic device that loosens impacted oils and dead skin cells, allowing congested pores to be deeply cleansed and extracted.
Step 4: Celluma LED Light Therapy
After extractions, LED Light Therapy helps to accelerate the healing process and reduce any inflammation, killing bacteria and rejuvenating the skin.
Step 5: Face Mask or V.I.T.A. C Radiance Release
We will then either choose one of the following masks for your skin type: The A.D.V.A.N.C.E.D peel-off mask, which contains activated charcoal to help purify, soothe and balance the skin. Or the SOS peel off mask containing natural cranberry which is an excellent source of vitamins and nutrients for your skin and helps strengthen the skin’s barrier by preventing water loss.

Apply the V.I.T.A. C Radiance Release, which contains a complex of pure L-ascorbic acid, Retinol, and Hyaluronic acid. This aids in skin hydration, promotes cell turnover, offers antioxidant properties, triggers collagen production, increases rate of skin repair, encourages circulation and offers UV protection.
Step 6: Moisturise
The treatment ends with the perfect moisturiser P.O.S.T. recovery cream, which provides excellent anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties and won’t leave your skin feeling greasy and an SPF30 or higher.
HOW TO PREPARE
Avoid exposing the area to direct sun for 48 hours prior to your appointment and always protect your skin with SPF 30 or higher in between treatments.
AFTERCARE
Following your facial, it is vital that you use the correct skincare as this facial alone will not eliminate blackheads or prevent future congestion. A permanent solution to oily skin and blackheads requires using the right products at home. To enhance results, we may recommend dermatological skin resurfacing products to ensure the skin cells continue to exfoliate even after treatment and prevent further blackheads from forming. After treatment avoid UV exposure for 48 hours and protect the skin with an SPF 30 or higher in between treatments.
